Another 4.5 Star Review for The Right Words! & A Brief Update

Every once in a while it’s nice to post a fab review. Just cuz!   Like this one for The Right Words from Caroline at Prism Book Alliance.  She ends the review with this fun little tidbit…”I must mention the secondary characters that were a hoot! Luke’s mum was great but the real star was his best friend Brandon who I believe we will see a lot more of very shortly.”

Yes you will! 🙂 Oh and did I mention Better Than Friends audiobook is really truly being released around the same time as The Wrong Man? I think I’m liking 2015 already!

2014 has been a banner year for gay marriage.  I came across this quote this morning and it seemed very apt in light of all the “Year in Review” stories we’re starting to see.  Athletes, country music stars and hell, even Apple’s CEO came out.  It’s only the beginning, but it’s a promising one.  And as a mother of a gay young man, it gives me hope. No doubt I’ll have more to say on the subject before the year is over, but for now…Enjoy the final weekend of 2014!  I plan to spend it reading (& writing) :-). How about you?

Happy Reading!  Lane xo

  1. I loved The Right Words, it’s a great start to a new series but I’m still longing for the Better Than Friends audio to come out. Listening to your books on audio is a double win for me. When does The Wrong Man release? (which if it’s by you I shall be buying too I’m certain!) I’m so hoping you’re going to say soon! All great stuff anyway 🙂

    1. Thank you Kate! I’m so glad to hear you’re a Right & Wrong & Better Than fan!! 🙂 The Wrong Man should be out in early February though I’m not sure of the exact date. I’ll certainly post it the minute I know! Thanks again for your kind words & Happy New Year! 🙂

  2. Congrats Lane! Well deserves and yes this was a good year for marriage equality and for LGBTQ people and their families. You are right to be hopeful, but you’re also part of the reason we’ve made such strides. Accepting parents and friends of our community are the reason we’ve been able to gain the rights we have. So while you’re hopeful, I’m thankful to you and others like you. Have a great New Year!

    1. Thank you Andrew! You are too kind. I love my son and I know he deserves the same rights and freedoms as everyone else. Equality matters. Smart people mustn’t be crippled by fear & those who can raise a voice, should. Best wishes to you and your family! Looking forward to seeing you in the New Year! 🙂
