It’s time to dust off this page! 2019 is just beginning and there are a lot of new projects on the horizon!
First up… Out in the Offense, book 3 in the Out in College Series will be here January 10. This one belongs to Christian and Rory, who you may remember from their brief appearance in Out in the End Zone. The closeted QB and the recent-graduate and newly out tutor. Talk about a surprise couple! LOL! I can’t wait for everyone to meet them!
As you may know, the Out in College series are “sport” short stories with a college aged group of friends set in Southern California. I’m not sure how many books will be in the whole series. At the moment, I think there will be six. And as for the sports…so far, we have water polo and football. Next up (Book 4), baseball! Look for this one in late Spring 2019.

New Project Info:
I’ve wanted to write another rock and roll series for some time. As much as I adore my A Kind Of boys, this new series needs to have a unique feel with a fresh approach. The new series is called…*drum roll, please… “Starting At”. It’s set in LA and is a spin-off of sorts of Out in College (it features at least one character you’ll meet in Out in the Offense). My intention is to start from the very beginning of the making of band with a May/December romance. Thus the title of Book 1, Starting At Zero. I’m hoping to release this one by late March.
My goal is to release three books in the new series and three more in Out in College in 2019. I’ll keep my blog updated with release date info.
Audiobook News:
Coming very soon to audio… Out in the Deep! New series, new narrator! I’m pleased to announce that Michael Pauley has just completed Book 1 in the Out in College series and is already at work on Out in the End Zone. Look for Out in the Deep on audiobook by mid-Jan. The others should follow in February and March! And for those audio fans who like a complete set, the entire Leaning Into series, including my holiday short, Leaning Into A Wish, is available in audio! Woohoo!
And in cased you missed it… Leaning Into the Holidays, my free holiday short featuring Eric and Zane and the SF boys was posted on my blog! Look for it on the Leaning Into Short Story page soon. Who do you think needs a short story next?
Author Public Appearances:
I’m thrilled to announce I’ll be at EuroCon in Amsterdam in June! This will be my first overseas convention and I’m so excited! The dates are June 30-July 2. And of course, I’ll be at GRL 2019 in Albuquerque in October. Hope to see you there!

Just wanted to say that I would really like a book of short stories about Matt and Aaron. Please, do publish it.
I’m definitely going to look into it. I have the work compiled so I only have to figure out how to do it! (Can’t be that hard!) Look for it later this year! 🙂
Aaron and Matt are my ultimate all time favorite couple so I would LOVE to have that book of short stories for them and/or a standalone!! Please have a print version too! =)

Will there be a full-length novel on Eric and Zane
Hi Angel- No, as much as I love Eric and Zane, their story was set up to introduce a series. They will be in the next few books and most likely will have a short story or two of their own. Stay tuned! And thank you for asking! <3
This is excellent news!! I am excited for all the above!! I love the Better Than series!! And the anthology book short was awesome so glad it has a second book coming!! Of course A Kind of is perfect I can’t wait.

Lane, I just finished listening to A Kind of Honesty and am now into The Wrong Man. These are my favorites right up there with Better Than Good,.Matt and Aaron are still my favorite guys and think we need to see/read a wedding. Waiting patiently(kind of) for Isaac’s story towards the end of this month. I’m really waiting to see if you check in with Tim and Carter( happy face if you do!!!<3) 🙂
YAY! I have checked this “Coming Soon” weekly since you last updated! I am about to start reading Leaning into Always. Woot woot! Will there be any more Better Than Short Stories? or A Kind of Short Stories? I love being able to stay connected to these characters! I’m so sorry! I’m the worst at updating this page. Great questions! I definitely will be writing more shorts in Better Than and A Kind of and I probably will write a book 4 in the Right and Wrong series to balance it out. lol. Timing wise, I’m not sure when it will happen. But I’d like to write something about Matt & Aaron’s wedding soon. I’ll definitely let you know!
Why are some of the Leaning Into stories only available on Amazon? I have a family account and do not wish young eyes to know my purchases or see my history which they track and then in turn churn out recommendations back to you. I can’t get another account as that would involve a separate email and I don’t want to do that. I’ve read so many of your other stories. I found Leaning Into the Fall thru my Barnes & Noble nook app. I can read on iBooks as well. Please tell me how I can get you other Leaning Into Stories.
